Years after a mysterious plague has devastated the planet and turned most of humanity into blood-hungry creatures, a rogue drifter on a vengeful hunt stumbles across a band of survivors in an abandoned police station and reluctantly agrees to try to help them defend themselves and escape to the sanctuary they so desperately need.
While it’s easy to get burned out zombies as a concept, I’m glad there are still creatives out there putting their own spin on the walking dead. Daylight’s End seems to be a kind of Wormwood-esque take, almost has a little Last of Us flavor. While not groundbreaking, it seems well made and interesting. I can’t pretend I’m not a bit tired of the undead myself, but I will say I appreciate the effort they’re putting in here and I’ll definitely give it a shot.
Daylight’s End will be in theaters August 26th, 2016.
