A young, lonely woman is consumed by her deepest and darkest desires after tragedy strikes her quiet country life.
The Eyes of My Mother looks like a striking film. First, it’s in black and white and has beautiful cinematography, which already sets it apart from other films. I felt incredibly uneasy just watching the trailer. I can’t even begin to imagine what the film holds. The glimpses near the end of various scenes with disturbing implications make me want to know what’s going on, but also make me feel like I shouldn’t be watching. I hope the film keeps the same uncomfortable tone.
The Eyes of My Mother will be in theaters December 2nd, 2016.
