A story about a young man and woman who move into a small abandoned town in Iceland to renovate an old house. Little do they know the town has a dark history.
The trailer for the latest Icelandic horror export, I Remember You, gives viewers a dark and washed out view of a tragic story from the northern island country. A couple’s child disappears, wooden crosses are displaced, and faces get scratched out in photos. Pretty standard fare for horror, but it will be interesting to see these tropes utilized by director Óskar Thór Axelsson coming from a country not well known for its spooky movies.
Distributed by IFC Midnight, I Remember You will be released on VOD and a limited theatrical run in the US on November 10th, 2017.
