RLJE Films, the folks behind Bone Tomahawk, Mandy, the Houses October Built, and many more, has acquired North American distribution for the upcoming holiday horror movie All the Creatures Were Stirring.
All the Creatures Were Stirring is the feature length writing and directorial debut by husband and wife duo Rebekah and David Ian McKendry. The couple have previously held writing and editorial posts at Fangoria and Blumhouse, as well and writing, directing, and producing a handful of horror short films since 2012.
In the film, “an awkward date on Christmas Eve leads a couple into a strange theater, where they’re treated to a bizarre and frightening collection of Christmas stories, featuring a wide ensemble of characters doing their best to avoid the horrors of the holidays. From boring office parties and last-minute shopping, to vengeful stalkers and immortal demons, there’s plenty out there to fear this holiday season.”
The film stars Constance Wu (Crazy Rich Asians), Jonathan Kite (“2 Broke Girls”), Amanda Fuller (Starry Eyes), Jocelin Donahue (House of the Devil, Insidious: Chapter 2), and Graham Skipper (Sequence Break [writer], Beyond the Gates) and has screened at the Chattanooga Film Festival, winning its Audience Award.
All the Creatures Were Stirring is expected to see a VOD, digital, and DVD release on December 4 of this year.
