An anxiety-filled and potentially mentally unstable man moves into an apartment to work on his social media following. Posting daily videos, as well as seemingly never leaving his apartment (by such clues as his only social interactions coming from video calls with friends), it appears Ken lives a lonely life of solitude with a dash of agoraphobia. So what’s the worst thing that can happen if you live alone in your small space and never leave? Well if the apartment is haunted, of course! In this single-location paranormal horror film, we see a man who is starting from a pretty low position, fall even further into madness and potential insanity. We aren’t sure about his life leading up to these events, other than he seems to be divorced with a history of mental illness. So…is he a reliable narrator? Can we trust what he sees? Or is it all in his head?
Directed by Jennifer Reeder who has previously done the wrap-around story/segment of V/H/S 94 and the film Knives and Skin.
Night’s End is a Shudder Original and will hit their streaming platform on March 31st.
