Set in the near-future, technology controls nearly all aspects of life. But when Grey, a self-identified technophobe, has his world turned upside down, his only hope for revenge is an experimental computer chip implant called Stem.
The latest from Leigh Whannell (Saw, Insidious) is almost here, but it appears the notorious horror writer/director is taking more of a sci-fi approach. Starring Logan Marshall-Green (The Invitation, Devil) as a man whose wife is killed in front of him, the film will display (in an ultra-violent way, of course) how he exacts revenge with a little help from futuristic technology.

Upgrade received the Midnighters Audience Award at SXSW and will screen at the Overlook Film Festival later this month with Whannell in attendance.
The film will see a theatrical release beginning on June 1.
