There are few ways to start the day that are better than awaking in a haunted hotel, at a horror film festival, and discovering a newly-released trailer for a movie some are calling “one of the scariest documentaries ever.” The Nightmare is on Frightday’s must-see list for the Stanley Film Festival, and today’s new trailer only solidified that fact. From Rodney Asher, director of Room 237 (the conspiracy documentary about the underlying meaning(s) of The Shining), this horror-documentary puts viewers in the shoes of those who suffer from the often-horrifying sleep disorder known as ‘Night Terrors’. The trailer sets up the real life hell in which some people live, as their bedroom is transformed into the breeding ground for the manifestations of their worst nightmares. Check out the clip above, and be sure to watch for our upcoming review of The Nightmare, following The Stanley Film Festival.
