One of our favorite short films from the 2017 Overlook Film Festival, The Cleansing Hour, will begin filming its full-length expansion next month in Bucharest, Romania. Damien LeVeck will remain the director, adding Shirit Bradley, Dan Clifton, and Natalie LeVeck as producers with Skubalon Entertainment.
As is often the case when short films make their transition into the feature length realm, recasting occurs. The film will star Ryan Guzman (“Pretty Little Liars,” “Heroes Reborn”), Kyle Gallner (A Nightmare on Elm Street [2010], The Haunting in Connecticut), and Alix Angelis (The Magnificent Seven).

Shifting ever so slightly from the original short, the synopsis is as follows:
The Cleansing Hour follows best friends Max and Drew (Guzman and Gallner) who run a popular webcast that stages exorcisms to look real. When the actress of the day (Angelis) becomes mysteriously possessed by a real demon, the friends must work against the show clock to figure out the demon’s sinister motive, while the demon exposes the trio’s dark secrets before a rapidly-growing global audience.
