After his diabolical plan to invade America’s children’s hospitals was foiled in season one, Chucky now seeks revenge on those he holds responsible.
While initially unclear how Child’s Play would adapt for TV, season 1 of Chucky taught us that the franchise can really thrive under an episodic structure. The trailer for season two drives the point further. The new Catholic school setting has plenty of atmosphere, and isolating the cast from season 1 should give them plenty of room to grow in this story. Most excitingly is the return of Glen and Glenda, Chucky and Tiffany’s children from Seed of Chucky. It feels like Don Mancini is pulling out all the stops with this season, and it couldn’t be more exciting.
New episodes of Chucky will premiere Wednesdays, 9/8c central on Syfy.
