Just last week, we learned of the stellar lineup for the Stanley Film Festival at the end of this month; today, they announced Lionsgate’s Cooties will be open the festival on Thursday, April 30th. Festival attendees will be joined by directors Jonathan Millot and Cary Munion, co-writer Leigh Whannell, and actors Elijah Wood and Allison Pill, in the Concert Hall on the Stanley Hotel grounds. A “School Cafeteria” party will follow, in the McGregor Ballroom, to match the story line of the movie – a virus spread in cafeteria food transforms a remote elementary school into a war zone between killer kids and terrified teachers.
As one of Kelly’s Top 13 Indies for 2015, the Frightday crew will not miss this screening! For those of you who can’t make the festival, Cooties will play in limited theaters and via VOD, beginning September 18th.
