Black Mountain Side follows a group of archaeologists after they uncover a strange structure in Northern Canada, dating over ten thousand years before the present. The team finds themselves isolated when their communication systems fail and it is not long before they begin to feel the effects of the solitude.
Small team? Check. Isolated area? Check. Things hitting the proverbial fan? Check. It’s a premise we’ve seen, but the trailer sold me on this one. The cinematography and acting look solid, and the quick mention of the archeological dig teases just enough that the movie probably isn’t just a group of guys going full Jack Torrance on each other.
Black Mountain will be available on DVD and VOD January 26, 2016.
