We learned something when we sat down with Barbara Crampton, star of 2015 Stanley Film Festival hits “Sun Choke” and “We Are Still Here”: In addition to being one of our all-time favorite scream queens, she’s also bright, insightful, funny, and incredibly modest. She has an artless way of steering the conversation to those she credits with her success (Stuart Gordon), and an infectious enthusiasm for the genre. She was present at nearly every screening during the weekend, lending her support to freshman filmmakers and veterans alike, screaming along with audiences and offering positive tweets throughout the fest.
