The brothers that made us all ponder the artistic value of well-placed ball hair and spray-painted dicks are back. But this time, the duo is taking their talents to the horror genre.
Kevin and Matthew McManus, aka The McManus Bros, recently announced they will direct The Block Island Sound. The brothers also wrote the feature-length film.
The film follows Audry Lynch (McManus) after she returns home to Block Island. Once home, she finds out that her father (Archambault) is experiencing multiple blackouts and hallucinations. After a rough evening, her father goes missing. Once she and her brother, Harry (Sheffield), start to search for their father’s whereabouts, danger ensues.
The film stars Michaela McManus (Into the Grizzly Maze, Aquarius), Chris Sheffield (The Maze Runner, Aquarius), Neville Archambault (13 Cameras, 14 Cameras), and Ryan O’Flanagan (American Vandal, New Girl), and Jeremy Holm (House of Cards, The Ranger).
The film is produced by Andrew van den Houten (The Ranger, The Woman), Ashleigh Snead (The Ranger), and The McManus Bros. Darryl Gariglio, Jordan Rudman, Harvey Rudman, Catherine Dumonceaux, and Giles Daust will executive produce.
30 Bones Cinema, Hood River Entertainment, Captain Inertia Productions, and Title Media are involved with the project. The film is scheduled to shoot in Massachusetts and Rhode Island this month.
