Pro: Wildling has so many things going for it. Con: it has so many things going for it. Starting out strong, viewers are given a rewarding plot twist at the end of the first act. There is some promise in the second act, but the plot gets a bit ambition and almost feels like it should be a separate movie. The third act has some resolution but takes a more fantastical approach to the plot that started out as true-crime-turned-creature-feature. The supporting cast elicits a bizarre mix of emotions and not in an interestingly conflicting way; I found myself not caring about any of them. Bel Powley, who plays Anna, does a bang up job and Brad Dourif (the voice of Chucky in the Child’s Play franchise), is frighteningly committed to his character. Downgrade for the token Indian actor playing the doctor.
