Admittedly, my interest in this film was based entirely on my proximity to Willits, CA. That said, I found myself pleasantly surprised by this little gem. Anyone from NorCal knows growers can be extremely protective of their crops, even fatally so. Everyone except these young adventurers, apparently. When six campers stumble onto a pot farm guarded by two meth-heads who believe they are targets of an alien invasion, the situation breaks bad pretty quickly. One of these campers, a stoner named “Possum,” is played by Rory Culkin, who I have developed a deep affection for since his appearance in Intruders. His performance in this film is equally delightful, and provides some fabulous comic relief. If you’re up for some fun, lighthearted horror, I highly recommend giving this film a shot.
