I first saw this film when our team received the screener over a year ago. A coworker insisted I watch it immediately. I was skeptical, given the off-the-wall premise, but I watched, and have been dying to get my hands on a copy ever since.
A couple learn their apartment is being used for a deranged cult’s ritualistic suicides.
I think about this film at least once a month. The first time I watched Sam Huntington deliver a bonkers monologue to a cartoon bird from his bathtub, I rewound at least eight times to scream laugh my way through it again. This movie is ridiculous. It’s not for everyone, I’ll admit, but its zany charm filled some kind of void in my heart. In addition to Huntington, the cast is filled with brilliant comedians including Kate Micucci, Dan Harmon, and, of course, Taika Waititi. I’m thrilled it’s out on VOD now, and I cannot wait to watch the world experience this movie.
