Tensions rose, plots thickened, and the action escalated in episode three of Scream. The two cliffhangers from the last episode saw significant follow up, and every character from Audrey to Zoe received a good bit of story and screen time. Even the killer is beginning to feel more fleshed out and real. The few minutes they receive, it’s clear that they’re playing with people, a very cat-and-mouse feel to how they operate. Even better, one sequence in particular either serves as an alibi for more than a handful of characters, or points us directly at the two killer setup. Whatever the case, the writing staff has done a spectacular job of building intrigue into the killer’s obfuscated identity. Overall, ‘Vacancy’ was engaging, entertaining, and laid out plenty of plot for future episodes.
