Director Alex Ross Perry (The Color Wheel, Listen Up Philip) has created one of the most controlled emotional breakdowns I’ve witnessed. Drenched in despair so thick, you can feel it. A pace that requires a bit of patience & attentiveness, but nothing anyone somewhat familiar with indie cinema would mind. Masterfully shot & framed, capturing the warmth of sixties cinema, intensified by Keegan DeWitt’s haunting score. The kind of film I wish I saw on the big screen. If I was a small town gas station attendant, and Elizabeth Moss was lost, no mater where she wanted to go, I would point her down this road. Such a devastating display of range. Bravos all around.
