Over the Garden Wall is a modern cartoon that plays like a timeless classic. The 10-part limited series follows the adventures of Wirt and Greg (who are brothers), a rock, and a frog. The group gets lost “over the garden wall” following an embarrassing exchange between Wirt and a cute girl, and a mixtape on Halloween night. During Greg and Wirt’s excursion they meet a diverse cast of characters; some are helpful and kind—like Beatrice the talking bluebird—and others are downright terrifying—like the Beast who haunts the Unknown. Through it all, the boys learn about responsibility, love, death, and honor. The series is top-notch and great for kids and adults.
