If you look up the description for Knives and Skin, you’ll see it’s about a missing girl, and the fallout her disappearance causes. Well, that’s a major stretch. This movie is less about telling that story, than it is about wanting to be as weird, quirky, and gross as possible. There’s a very loose plot that is often interrupted by random and nonsensical little scenes that bear no relevance to the story it’s trying to tell. The dialogue gave me second hand embarrassment, and I watched this movie alone with headphones. I’m not saying this movie is bad, because I’m sure this will find its audience; I’m just not a part of that. Check out Greener Grass instead.
