Norval Greenwood reunites with his estranged dad for a descent into madness against the backdrop of the placid Pacific Northwest. In this debut film from Ant Timpson, settle in for B-movie fun with some feels. While not a true horror movie, this film delivers on wit, tension &, whacky violence. Elijah Wood continues his recent career path of interesting, unsettling comedy supported by a cast of what can only be described as characters. The over the top quality reminded me of a slightly more grounded Mandy, with villains gleefully chewing scenery while our hero fumbles to his destiny. Come to Daddy isn’t a film full of terrors but it’s a rollicking good time.
