Come Back To Me doesn’t waste time getting started: it opens with a terrifying scene of domestic abuse, a meth cooking operation, and a brutal death. After this intriguing prologue, we fast forward in time and fall into a familiar scene of a newly-married suburban couple, living Pleasantville lives, with the notable exception of their fertility struggle. Suddenly, their problems are solved – or are they? As the story unfolds, the characters aren’t well developed enough to fully draw you in; then, just in time, director Paul Leyden’s first full-length effort returns to mind-blowing territory in the final act, cementing Come Back To Me as an entertaining watch.
