The Haunting of Sharon Tate is an interesting movie. Instead of being a straight forward, historically accurate retelling of a famous murder, it decides to tell the questionable story of Sharon Tate’s nightmares that foreshadowed her untimely death. Putting that aside, the film is a major misfire. The dialogue is abysmal, the acting was subpar (outside of Ms. Duff) and the cinematography was confusing. Very rapid shots cut together in a strange way, using lots of shaky, handheld camerawork. Nothing was fluid or felt natural. A sluggish pace made the average runtime feel like forever, without enough substance to hold my attention. I’d steer clear of this one.
